Teaching Truths about Torah, Time, and Messiah

Chapter 1

Paul, an emissary of Yĕshua the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ by the will of the AlmĭghtyElŏhım. To the holy ones being found in Ephesus, and faithful in MĕssiahMăshıaɦ Yĕshua. 1:2Loving-kindness to you and peace from the AlmĭghtyElŏhım our FătherAbbă and AdŏnaiMăster Yĕshua the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ.

3Blessed be the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım and FătherAbbă of our AdŏnaıMăster Yĕshua the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, who has blessed us with respect to every spiritual blessing in heavenly places by the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, 4just as he himself had chosen° us° through Him°, before the foundation of the world to be holy and complete before his face in love, 5having appointed° us long ago°before for adoption as sons, by Yĕshua the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, to himself, according to the good intention of his will, 6for the sake of the praise of the glory of his loving-kindness, which he has favored on us, from which he has loved us 7in whom there is redemption for us, by his blood, the forgiveness of transgressions, according to the wealth of his loving-kindness, 8which he has made abundant unto us, with all wisdom, and intelligence, 9which making known, he has made known to us, the mystery of his will, according to his good intention, which he has determined with him, 10for a dominion in the fullness of the appointed time, to gather together everything unto the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, that which is in the heavens, and that which is on the earth, 11by him, by whom also we have been made heirs, in being appointed beforehand, according to the determination of the one working in everything, according to the counsel of his will, 12so that we should be for the praise of his glory, we who have hoped beforehand in the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ.

13By whom also you have heard the word of truth, the good news of our salvation, in whom also you have affirmed faithfulness, you who have been sealed by the promised SpĭritRŭaɦ, to the Holy One, 14who is a pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of the possession, for the sake of the praise of his glory.

15Because of this, as that also I have heard the report of your faithfulness in AdonaıMăster Yĕshua, and love for all the holy ones, 16I am not ceasing giving thanks for you, a remembrance making in my prayers, 17to the intent that, the AlmĭghtyElŏhım of our Adonaı Yĕshua the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, the FătherAbbă of glory, may give to you the SpĭritRŭaɦ of wisdom, and revelation, in perfect knowledge of himself, 18as the eyes of your heart have been enlightened, so that you will have known what is the hope of his call, what is the wealth of the glory of his inheritance with the holy ones, 19and what is the overflowing greatness of his power unto us who are affirming faithfulness, according to the working of the dominion of his strength, 20which He has effected through the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, in raising him from the dead, and in making him sit at his right in the heavens, 21up beyond from every ruler, and authority, and power, and lordship, and every name being named, not only in this age, but also in the age coming. 22And all he will have put under his feet.

22bAnd he has made him head over all the assembly, 23which is his body, the complement of himself, who is completing the whole assembly with all things.

Chapter 2

And you were dead in your transgressions and iniquities, 2:2according to which then you walked, according to the Aeon of this world, according to will of the Ruler of the dominion of the air, the spirit working now in the sons of rebelliousness, 3among whom we also all once we let ourselves be controlled by the passions of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh, and the thoughts. And we were by nature sons of wrath as also the rest of mankind.

4But the AlmĭghtyElŏhım, being rich in mercy through his great love, with which he loved us, 5even when we were dead in transgressions, in partnership with MĕssiahMăshıaɦ made us live. By loving kindness you have been° saved°. 6Also he in partnership withwith Mĕssiah will have raised us, and in partnership withwith the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, Yĕshua, will have seated us in the heavens, 7so that he may make seen, in the coming ages, the overflowing wealth of his loving-kindness, in goodness upon us, through Mĕssiah Yĕshua.

8Because by loving-kindness you have been saved°, through faithfulness, and this is not from you. From the Almĭghty it is a gift, 9not from works, so that a man should not make himself to be boasting. 10Yea, his work we are, being created by the Mĕssiah Yĕshua for good works, which the Almĭghty made ready beforehand, so that in them we may make ourselves to be walking.

11Therefore remember that then you were the nations in the flesh, those being called uncircumcision, by those being called circumcision in the flesh, being done by hand, 12because you were at that time without MĕssiahMăshıad, having been strangers from citizenship in IsraelYisraɛl, and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, hope not having, and atheists in the world.

13But now, by way of MĕssiahMăshıaɦ Yĕshua, you who had been formerly from far away, have been made to come near, by the blood of the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, 14because he is the peace offering for us, who has made the two one, and the partition fence he has made to be opened. The hostility, by way of his flesh, 15which is thethe norm for°norm of° sentences°orders° inin legal condemnationslegal judgments°, he has made to be without effect, so that he might create the two, by way of himself, into one new man, making peace, 16and so that he might reconcile back again the two into one body, to the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım, by way of the crossexecution-post°, putting to death the hostility by way of his soul.

17And having come, he has announced peace to you, to those far, and peace to those near, 18because through him, we are both holding fast the approach, by one SpĭritRŭaɦ to the FătherAbbă.

19So then, you are no longer aliens and strangers, but you are citizens jointly with the holy ones, and sons of the househouseholds of the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım, 20being built upon the foundation of the emissaries and the prophets, where Yĕshūa the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ himself, he is the cornerstone, 21by whom the whole building is being joined together, growing up into a holy Temple for Yăhwɛh, 22for whom also you yourselves are being built together to be a dwelling of the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım in the SpĭritRŭaɦ.

Chapter 3

Because of this, I Paul am a prisoner of the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, for your sake, the nations, 3:2if indeed you have listened to the administration of the loving-kindness of the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım which has been given to me for you, 3because according to a revelation has been made known to me, the mystery, according to what I had written before in a few words, 4concerning which, you will be able, in reading it, to understand my insight in the mystery of the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, 5which in other generations had not been made known to the sons of men, like it has been revealed now, by his holy emissaries and by his prophets in the SpĭritRŭaɦ: 6that the nations should be joint heirs, and a joint body, and receivers as one, from the promise, in MĕssiahMăshıaɦ Yĕshua by way of the good news, 7of which I have become a minister, according to the gift of the loving-kindness of the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım, which has been given to me, according to the action of his might.

8To me, the least among the least ones of all the holy ones, has been given this loving-kindness, unto the nations to announce the unsearchable wealth of the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, 9and to make enlightened everyone about what is the administration of the mystery, which has been made to be hidden from the Aeōns by the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım, who has created everything, 10so that might be made known now to the rulers and to the authorities in the heavens, by way of the Assembly, the many-sided wisdom of the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım, 11according to the plan of the ages, which he had made with the MĕssiahMăshiaɦ, Yĕshua our AdōnaıMăster, 12in whom we have boldness and confident access through his faithfulnessthe faithfulness of him. 13Therefore I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, which is for your glory.

14For this reason, I bow my knees before the FătherAbbă, 15by whom every family in heaven and on earth is summoned, 16that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power through his SpĭritRŭaɦ in the inner man, 17so that MĕssiahMăshıaɦ may dwell in your hearts through faithfulness, and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18may be able to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19and to know the love of MĕssiahMăshıaɦ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all completion from the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım.

20Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21to him be the glory in the Assembly and in MĕssiahMăshıaɦ Yĕshūa onward all the generations of the time immemorialage of the times most immemorialAges. Amɛn.

Chapter 4

The One Covenant Faith

I, therefore, the prisoner of Yăhwɛh, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 4:2with all humility and gentleness, with patience, tolerantly enduring one another in love, 3being diligent to preserve the unity of the SpĭritRŭaɦ in the bond of peace.

4There is one body and one SpĭritRŭaɦ, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling, 5one AdŏnaıMăster, one Faith, one immersion, 6one AlmĭghtyElŏhım and FătherAbbă of all who is over all and through all and in all.

7But to each one of us loving kindness was given according to the measure of MĕssiahMăshıaɦ’s gift. 8Therefore it says, “Having ascended on high, he will have led captive captivity, and he will have given gifts to men.” 9Now this expression, “He will have ascended,” what does it mean except that he also will have descended into the lower parts—the earth? 10He who descended is himself also he who ascended far above all the heavens, that he might complete all things. 11And he gave some as emissaries, and some as prophets, and some as announcers of good news, and some as shepherds and teachers, 12for the equipping of the holy ones for the work of service, to the building up of the body of MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, 13until we all attain to the unity of the Faith, and of the full knowledge of the Almĭghty SŏnBĕn Ha-Elŏhım, as a perfect man, to the measure of the maturity of the completeness of the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ.

14As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of teaching, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming, 15but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into him, who is the head, even MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, 16from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

The Faithful Walk

17This I say therefore, and testify together with Yăhwɛh, that you walk no longer as the nations also walk, in the futility of their mind, 18being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart. 19And they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality, for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. 20But you did not learn MĕssiahMăshıaɦ in this way, 21if indeed you have heard him and have been taught in him, just as truth is in Yĕshūa, 22that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, 23and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24and put on the new self, which according to the AlmĭghtyElŏhım is created for righteousness and holiness in the truth.

25Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth, each one of you, with his neighbor, because we are members of one another. 26Be angry, and yet do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27and do not give the accuser an opportunity.

28Let him who steals steal no longer, but rather let him labor, performing with his own hands what is good, in order that he may have something to share with him who has need.

29Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give loving-kindness to those who hear. 30And do not grieve the Holy SpĭritRŭaɦ Ha-Qodɛsh of the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all ill willed hatred. 32And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, lovingly-favoring each other, just as the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım in MĕssiahMăshıaɦ also lovingly-favors you.

Chapter 5

Be Imitators of the AlmĭghtyElŏhım

Therefore be imitators of the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım, as beloved children, 5:2and walk in love, just as MĕssiahMăshıaɦ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım as a fragrant aroma. 3But do not let immorality or any impurity or greed even be named° among you, as is proper among holy ones. 4And there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5Because this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, that is of the AlmĭghtyElŏhım. 6Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of the Almĭghty comes upon the disobedient sons. 7Therefore do not be partakers with them, 8because you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in Yăhwɛh. Walk as children of light, 9because the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and justice and truth, 10approving what is pleasing to Yăhwɛh.

11And do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even correct them, 12because the things secretly being done by them are shameful even to tell about. 13But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, because everything that becomes visible is light. 14For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Mĕssiah will shine on you.”

15Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, 16making the most of your time, because the days are evil. 17So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of Yăhwɛh is.

18And do not get drunk with wine, because that is immorally indulgent, but be filled with the SpĭritRŭaɦ, 19speaking to one another in Psalms and praise-songs, that is, spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to Yăhwɛh, 20always giving thanks for all things in the name of our AdŏnaıMăster Yĕshua the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ to the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım, even the Făther. 21And be subject to one another with respect to the fear of MĕssiahMăshıaɦ.

Marriage Like MĕssiahMăshıaɦ and the Assembly

22Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to Yăhwɛh. 23Because the husband is the head of the wife, as MĕssiahMăshıaɦ also is the head of the Assembly, he himself being the Savior of the body. 24But as the Assembly is subordinated to the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.

25Husbands, love your wives, just as MĕssiahMăshıaɦ also loved the Assembly and gave himself up for her, 26that he might sanctify her. And he cleanses by the washing of water in the word, 27that he might present to himself the Assembly in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and blameless. 28So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself, 29because no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as MĕssiahMăshıaɦ also does the Assembly, 30because we are members of his body. 31“For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will cleave to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32This mystery is great, but I am speaking with reference to MĕssiahMăshıaɦ and the Assembly. 33However, let each individual among you also love his own wife even as himself, and let the wife see to it that she respect her husband.

Chapter 6

Family Relationships

Children, obey your parents in Yăhwɛh, because this is right. 6:2“Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise, 3that it may be well with you, even “that you may live long on the earth.”

4And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of Yăhwɛh.

5Slaves, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to MĕssiahMăshiaɦ, 6not by way of eye service, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of MĕssiahMăshiaɦ, doing the will of the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım from the heart. 7With good will render service, as to Yăhwɛh, and not to men, 8knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from Yăhwɛh, whether slave or free.

9And, masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that both their AdŏnaıMăster and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.

The Armor of the AlmightyHa-Elŏhım

10Finally, be strong in Yăhwɛh, and in the strength of his might. 11Put on the full armor of the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the Accuser°. 12Because our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

13Therefore, take up the full armor of the AlmĭghtyHa-Elŏhım, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and having shod your feet with the preparation of the good news of peace, 16in addition to all, taking up the shield of faithfulness° with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the SpĭritRŭaɦ, which is the word° of the AlmĭghtyElŏhım. 18With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the SpĭritRŭaɦ, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the holy ones.

19And pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the good news, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains, that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

21But that you also may know about my circumstances, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in Yăhwɛh, will make everything known to you. 22And I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us, and that he may comfort your hearts.

23Peace be to the brothers, and love with faithfulness, from the AlmĭghtyElŏhım, the FătherAbbă and AdŏnaıMăster Yĕshua the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ. 24Loving-kindness be with all those who love our AdŏnaıMăster Yĕshua the MĕssiahMăshıaɦ with a love incorruptible.
