Leviticus
Then he called unto Moshēh. Then Yăhwēh spoke unto him from the tent of appointment, saying, 1:2“Speak unto the sons of Yisra’ēl, and you will have said unto them, ‘When a man may make come near, from you, an offering to Yăhwēh, then from the beasts, from the cattle, and from the flock, you shall make your offering come near.’
3‘If an ascending sacrifice is his offering from the cattle, a perfect male, then he will make it come near unto the door of the tent of appointment. He will make it come near for its acceptance at the face of Yăhwēh. 4And he will have lain his hand upon the head of the ascending sacrifice. And it will have been accepted for him to make to be a wiping for him. 5And he will have slaughtered the son of the bull at the face of Yăhwēh. And the sons of A̓harōn, the priests, will have made come near the blood. And they will have sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about which is at the door of the tent of appointment. 6And he will have made flayed the ascending sacrifice. And he will have cut it into its pieces. 7And the sons of A̓harōn the priest will have put fire upon the altar. And they will have arranged wood upon the fire. 8And the sons of A̓harōn the priests, will have arranged the pieces, the head, and the fat, upon the wood which is over the fire which is upon the altar. 9And its innards and its lower legs he will wash in water. And the priest will have made smoke the whole at the altar, an ascending offering, a fire sacrifice, a soothing aroma to Yăhwēh.
10And if from the flock his offering is, then from the sheep or from the goats, as an ascending sacrifice, a perfect male, he shall make it come near. 11And he will have slaughtered it against the side of the altar northward at the face of Yăhwēh. And the sons of A̓harōn, the priests, will have sprinkled its blood upon the altar round about. 12And he will have cut it into its pieces, and its head and its fat. And the priest will have arranged them over the wood which is over the fire which is upon the altar. 13And the innards and the lower legs he will he wash in water. And the priest will have made come near the whole. And he will have made it smoke at the altar. An ascending sacrifice it is, a fire sacrifice, a soothing aroma to Yăhwēh.
14And if from the birds, is his offering to Yăhwēh, then he will have made come near from the turtle-doves, or from the sons of the doves, his offering. 15And the priest will make it come near unto the altar. And he will have ripped off its head. And he will have made it smoke at the altar. And the blood of it will have been drained on the wall of the altar. 16And he will have made turn aside its crop with the feathers of it. And he will have made it cast beside the altar eastward, unto the place of the fat-ashes. 17And he will have made it to be torn by the wings of it. He shall not make it divided. And the priest shall make it smoke at the altar, upon the wood which is over the fire. An ascending sacrifice it is, a fire sacrifice, a soothing aroma to Yăhwēh.
And when a soul will make come near a tribute offering to Yăhwēh, his offering shall be fine flour. And he will have poured oil upon it. And he will have put frankincense upon it. 2:2And he shall have made it come near unto the sons of A̓harōn, the priests. And he shall have grasped from there his fist full of the fine flour of it, and from the oil of it over all the frankincense of it. And the priest shall have made smoke the memorial portion of it at the altar, a fire sacrifice, a soothing aroma to Yăhwēh. 3And the remainder from the tribute is for A̓harōn and for his sons. Holy of holiest it is from the fire sacrifices of Yăhwēh.
4And when you make come near an offering of tribute, oven baked, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour being mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers being anointed with oil.
5And if a tribute upon the griddle be your offering, then of fine flour, being mixed with oil, unleavend, it shall be. 6Crumble it in crumbs. And you will have poured oil upon it. It is a tribute.
7And if a tribute of the stew-pan be your offering, then of fine flour in oil, it shall be made.
8And you will have made come the tribute, which was made from these things to Yăhwēh. And one will have made it come near unto the priest. And he will have made it draw near unto the altar. 9And the priest shall have made raised from the tribute the memorial part of it. And he will have made smoke at the altar, the fire sacrifice, a soothing aroma to Yăhwēh. 10And the remainder from the tribute is for A̓harōn and for his sons. Holy of holiest it is from the fire sacrifices of Yăhwēh.
11Any of the tribute which you may make come near to Yăhwēh, will not be made leavened, because any leavening, and any honey, you will not make smoke from it, to be a fire sacrifice to Yăhwēh. 12An offering of first-fruits you may bring them near to Yăhwēh, and unto the altar they will not go up for a soothing aroma.
13And every offering of your tribute with the salt you shall salt. And you shall not make cease the salt of the covenant of your Almĭghty from upon your tribute. Upon every offering of yours you shall make come near salt.
14And if you make come near a tribute of first-fruits to Yăhwēh, of fresh ears, being roasted in the fire, then a crushing of fresh grain, you shall make come near, the tribute of your first fruits. 15And you shall have put oil upon it. And you shall have set frankincense on it. It is a tribute. 16And the priest shall have made smoke the memorial portion of it, from its crushing, and from its oil over all the frankincense of it, a fire sacrifice to Yăhwēh.
And if a sacrifice of well being be his offering, then if he is making it come near from the cattle, if male, if female, perfect he shall make it come near at the face of Yăhwēh. 3:2And he will have laid his hand upon the head of his offering, and he will have slaughtered it at the door of the tent of appointment. And the sons of A̓harōn sons, the priests, will have sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about. 3And he will have brought near from the sacrifice of well being, a fire sacrifice to Yăhwēh, the fat making to be covered the innards, and all the fat which is upon the innards, 4and the two kidneys, and the fat which is upon them, which is upon the loins, and the lobe upon the liver, over the kidneys, he shall make turn aside. 5And the sons of A̓harōn will have made it smoke at the altar upon the ascending sacrifice, which is upon the wood, which is upon the fire, a fire sacrifice, a soothing aroma to Yăhwēh.
6And if from the flock be his offering, for a sacrifice of well being to Yăhwēh, then male or female, perfect, he will make it come near.
7If a lamb he makes come near as his offering, then he will have made it come near at the face of Yăhwēh. 8And he will have laid his hand upon the head of his offering. And he will have slaughtered it before the face of the tent of appointment. And the sons of A̓harōn will have sprinked the blood of it upon the altar round about. 9And he will have made come near from the sacrifice of well being, a fire sacrifice to Yăhwēh: the fat of it, the fat tail entire against the spine. He shall make it turn aside, and the fat covering the innards, and all the fat which is upon the innards. 10And the two kidneys, and the fat which is upon them, which is upon the loins, and the lobe upon the liver, upon the kidneys, he shall make turn aside it. 11And the priest will have made it smoke at the altar. It is the bread of the fire sacrifice to Yăhwēh.
12And if a goat be his offering, then he will have made it come near at the face of Yăhwēh: 13And he will have laid his hand upon its head. And he will have slaughtered it at the face of the tent of appointment. And the sons of A̓harōn will have sprinkled its blood upon the altar, round about. 14And he will have made come near from it, his offering, a fire sacrifice to Yăhwēh: the fat covering the innards, and all the fat which is upon the innards, 15and the two kidneys, and the fat which is upon them, which is over the loins. And the lobe upon the liver over the kidneys, he shall make it turn aside. 16And the priest shall have made them smoke at the altar, It is the bread of the fire sacrifice, for a soothing aroma, all the fat for Yăhwēh. It is an everlasting statute for your generations, in all your dwellings. Any fat, and any blood, you will not eat.
Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Mōshēh, saying, 4:2“Speak unto the sons of Yisra’ēl, saying, ‘A soul that may sin in inadvertence, beyond any of the commandments of Yăhwēh, which should not be done, and he has acted beyond one from them, 3or if the anointed priest may sin, so as to incur guilt of the people then he will have made come near for his sin, which he has sinned, a bull, the son of the cattle, a perfect one, to Yăhwēh for a sin sacrifice. 4And he will have made come the bull unto the door of the tent of appointment at the face of Yăhwēh. And he shall have laid his hand upon the head of the bull. And he shall have slaughtered the bull at the face of Yăhwēh. 5And the anointed priest shall have taken from the blood of the bull. And he shall have made it come unto the tent of appointment. 6And the priest shall have dipped his finger in the blood. And he shall have sprinkled from the blood seven times at the face of Yăhwēh, the face of the veil of the holy place. 7And the priest shall have put some from the blood upon the horns of the altar of fragrant incense at the face of Yăhwēh, which is in the tent of appointment. And all the blood of the bull he shall pour out onto the base of the altar of the ascending sacrifice, which is at the door of the tent of appointment. 8And all the fat of the bull of the sin sacrifice he shall take up from it, the fat making be covered the innards, and all the fat which is over the innards, 9and the two kidneys, and the fat which is upon them, which is upon the loins. And the lobe upon the liver, over the kidneys, he shall make turn aside, 10as that was made taken up from the ox of the sacrifice of well being. And the priest will have made them to smoke upon the altar of the ascending sacrifice. 11And the skin of the bull, and all its flesh, with its head, and with its lower legs, and its innards, and its dung, 12And he will have made go out all the bull unto the outside of the camp unto a clean place, unto the heap of the fat ashes. And he will have burned it upon wood in the fire upon the heap of the fat ashes.
13And if the whole congregation of Yisra’ēl should err inadvertently, and the thing has been obscured from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done one thing beyond any the commandments of Yăhwēh, which should not be done, and they have become guilty, 14and has become known the sin which they have sinned against it, then the assembly will have made come a bull, a son of the cattle, for a sin sacrifice. And they will have made it come to the face of the tent of appointment. 15And the elders of the congregation shall have laid their hands upon the head of the bull at the face of Yăhwēh. And it shall have slaughtered the bull before the face of Yăhwēh. 16And the anointed priest will have made come from the blood of the bull unto the tent of appointment. 17And the priest will have dipped his finger in the blood. And he will have sprinkled seven times at the face of Yăhwēh, at the face of the veil. 18And from the blood he will put upon the horns of the altar which is before the face of Yăhwēh, which is in the tent of appointment. And all the blood, he shall pour out at the base of the altar of ascending sacrifice, which is at the door of the tent of appointment. 19And all the fat of it, he shall he take up from it. And he shall have made it smoke at the altar. 20And he will have done to the bull as that he will have done to the bull of the sin sacrifice. Such he will do for it. And the priest will have made to be a wiping away for them. And it will have been forgiven for them.
21And he will have made go forth the bull unto the outside of the camp. And he will have burned it as that he will have burned the first bull. The sin sacrifice of the assembly, it is.
22When a ruler may sin, and will have done one thing beyond any of the commandments of Yăhwēh his Almĭghty, which should not be done, in inadvertence, and is found guilty, 23or has been made known unto him, his sin, which he has sinned against it, then he will have made come, as his offering, a billy of the goats, a perfect male. 24And he shall have laid his hand upon the head of the billy. Then he shall have slaughtered it in the place which they kill the ascending sacrifice at the face of Yăhwēh. It is a sin sacrifice. 25And the priest shall have taken from the blood of the sin sacrifice with his finger, and he will have put it upon the horns of the altar of the ascending sacrifice. And the blood of it, he shall pour out at the base of the altar of ascending sacrifice. 26And all the fat of it, he shall make smoke at the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of the well being offerings. And the priest shall have made to be a wiping away for him from his sin. And he will have been forgiven.
27And if one soul shall sin in inadvertence, from the people of the land, in its doing one thing from the commandments of Yăhwēh which should not be done, and is found guilty, 28or has been made known unto him his sin, which he has sinned, then he will have made his offering a nanny of the goats, a perfect female, for his sin, which he has sinned. 29And he will have laid his hand upon the head of the sin sacrifice. And he will have slaughtered the sin sacrifice in the place of ascending sacrifice. 30And the priest shall have taken from the blood of it with his finger, and he will have put it upon the horns of the altar of ascending sacrifice, and all the blood of it, he shall he pour out at the base of the altar. 31And all the fat of it shall he turn aside, as that was made to turn aside the fat from upon the sacrifice of well being offering. And the priest shall have made it smoke at the altar for a soothing aroma to Yăhwēh. And the priest shall make to be a wiping away for him. And it will have been forgiven for him.
32And if a lamb he will make come, as his offering for a sin, a perfect female he will make it come. 33And he shall have laid his hand upon the head of the sin sacrifice, and he will have slaughtered it for a sin sacrifice in the place which they slaughter the ascending sacrifice. 34And the priest shall have taken from the blood of the sin sacrifice with his finger, and he will have put it upon the horns of the altar of the ascending sacrifice. And all the blood of it, he shall pour out at the base of the altar: 35And all the fat of it, he shall turn aside, as that was made to turn aside the fat of the lamb from the sacrifice of the well being offerings. And the priest shall have made them smoke at the altar, upon fire offerings of Yăhwēh. And the priest will have made to be a wiping away for him for his sin which he had sinned. And it will have been forgiven for him.
And it is that a soul will sin, when it will have heard the voice of an oath, and he is a witness, or he has seen, or he has known, then if he should not declare it, then he will have borne his iniquity.
5:2Or a soul which will touch on any thing unclean, or on the carcass of an unclean animal, or on the carcass of an unclean beast, or on the carcass of an unclean creeping thing, and it will have been hidden from him, and he is unclean, and is guilty.
3Or it is that he may touch on the uncleanness of man, for any of his uncleanness which he may become unclean in it, and it will have been hidden from him, and he will have come to know, and is guilty.
4Or it is a soul that will swear itself by rashly speaking with the lips to cause evil, or to do good, for any thing which a man may rashly speak with an oath, and it will have been hidden from him, and he has come to know it, and is guilty for one from these things,
5And it will have been, when he will be guilty for one from these things, then he will have himself confessed which thing he has sinned against it. 6And he will have made come his guilt sacrifice to Yăhwēh for his sin which he has sinned, a female from the flock, a ewe or a nanny of the goats, for a sin sacrifice. And the priest will have made to be a wiping away for him from his sin punishment.
7And if he may not make his hand reach the sufficiency of a flock animal, then he will have made come as his guilt compensation for what he has sinned, two turtle doves, or two sons of the pigeon, to Yăhwēh, one for a sin sacrifice, and one for an ascending sacrifice. 8And he will have made them come unto the priest. And he will have made come near that one for the sin sacrifice first, and he will have wrung off the head of it from the front end of its neck, and he shall not make it divided: 9And he will have sprinkled from the blood of the sin sacrifice upon the wall of the altar. And the remainder of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar. It is a sin sacrifice. 10And the second he will make an ascending sacrifice according to the ordinance.
10bAnd the priest will have made to be a wiping away for him from his sin punishment which he has incurred. And it will have been forgiven for him.
11And if he may not make his hand reach to two of the turtle-doves, or to two of the sons of the pigeons, then he will have made come his offering, which he has incurred, a tenth of the ē̓phah, fine flour, for a sin sacrifice. He will not place oil upon it, and he will not put frankincense upon it, because it is a sin sacrifice. 12And he will have made it come unto the priest. And the priest will have taken from it his fistful, the memorial portion of it, and he will have made it smoke at the altar, upon the fire sacrifices of Yăhwēh. It is a sin sacrifice.
13And the priest will have made to be a wiping away for him for his sin punishment which he has incurred, from one from these things. And it will have been forgiven for him. And it will have been for the priest like the tribute
14Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Mōshēh, saying, 15“A soul that may do unfaithfully a faithless act, and he has sinned in inadvertence in the holy things of Yăhwēh, then he will have made come as his guilt compensation to Yăhwēh a perfect ram from the flock, in your estimation, of silver sheqali̱m, by the sheqel of the sanctuary, for a guilt compensation, 16even that which he has incurred from the holy thing. He will make to be repayment, and a fifth part of it he will make added upon it. And he will have given it to the priest, and the priest will make to be a wiping away for him with the ram of the guilt sacrifice. And it will have been forgiven for him.”
17And if a soul that will sin, and it will have done one thing beyond any of the commandments of Yăhwēh, which should not be done, and he has not known, and is guilty, and he will have borne his iniquity, 18then he shall have made come a perfect ram from the flock, by your estimation, for a guilt sacrifice unto the priest. And the priest will have made to be a wiping away for him for his inadvertence which he has erred, and he has not known. And it will have been forgiven for him.
5:19A guilt sacrifice it is. Being guilty he has been guilty to Yăhwēh.
6:1Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Mōshēh, saying, 6:2“A soul that will sin, and will have done unfaithfully an unfaithful act against Yăhwēh, when he has made to be a deceit on his neighbor with a stored thing or with a security deposit or with stealing or he has defrauded his neighbor, 6:3or he has found a lost thing, and he has made to be deceit about it, and he has sworn himself upon a lie over one lost thing from all these things, which a man might do for sinning in them.
6:4Then it will have been, when he has sinned, and is guilty, then he will have made return the plunder which he had plundered, or the defrauding which he has defrauded, or the stored thing which had been made stored with him, or the lost thing which he had found, 6:5or any thing about which he may swear himself upon it falsely, then he will have made to be repaid it, as in its beginning, and a fifth part of it let him add upon it. To whom it belongs to him, he will give it, on the day of his guilt offering.
6:6And his guilt sacrifice he shall make come to Yăhwēh, a perfect ram from the flock, in your estimation, for a guilt sacrifice unto the priest. 6:7And the priest will have made to be a wiping away for him before the face of Yăhwēh. And it will have been forgiven for him, over one lost thing from all these things, which he might do to whitewash sin in it.
Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Moshēh, saying, 6:9“Make be commanded A̓harōn and his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the ascending sacrifice. It will be the ascending sacrifice upon the burner upon the altar all the night until the daybreak, and the fire of the altar shall be made to burn in it.
10And the priest will have dressed in his linen garment. And pants of linen he will dress in upon his flesh. And he will have made come up the fat ash, to which the fire will make the ascending sacrifice to be consumed upon the altar. And he will have put it beside the altar.
11And he will have stripped his garments. And he will have dressed in other garments. And he will have made go out the ash unto the outside of the camp unto a clean place.
12And the fire upon the altar shall be made to burn in it. It shall not be quenched. And the priest will have made to be burned wood upon it in the daybreak, in the daybreak. And he will have arranged the ascending sacrifice upon it. And he will have made smoke on it the fat things of the well being sacrifices. 13Fire continually will be made to burn upon the altar. It shall not be quenced.
14And this is the law of the tribute offering. The sons of A̓harōn make it come near before the face of Yăhwēh unto the face of the altar. 15And he will have made raised up a part from it in his fist, from the fine flour of the tribute offering, and from the oil of it, and all the frankincense which is upon the tribute offering, and he will have made it smoke at the altar, as a soothing aroma, a memorial portion of it to Yăhwēh. 16And that being left from it, A̓harōn and his sons will eat. Unleavened it will be eaten in a holy place. In the court of the tent of appointment they will eat it. 17It may not be baked leavened. I have given it as their portion from my fire offerings. The holy of the holiest it is, like the sin offering, and like the guilt offering. 18Every male among the sons of A̓harōn will eat it, an everlasting statute for your generations, from the fire offerings of Yăhwēh. Anyone who may touch on them will be made to be holy.
19Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Moshēh, saying, 20This is the offering of A̓harōn and his sons, which they will make come near to Yăhwēh in the day of his being annointed, a tenth of the ē̓phah of fine flour, as a continual tribute sacrifice, half of it in the daybreak, and half of it in the setting. 21Upon a griddle with oil it will be made. Being made mixed you will make it come. As the broken pieces of a tribute offering of crumbs you will make it come near, a soothing aroma to Yăhwēh. 22And an anointed Priest under him, from his sons, will make it. It is an everlasting portion due, for Yăhwēh. It will be made to smoke entirely. 23And every tribute offering of the priest will be entirely made to smoke. It may not be eaten.
24Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Moshēh, saying, 25“Speak unto A̓harōn and unto his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the sin offering. In the place which will be slaughtered the ascending offering, the sin offering will be slaughtered, at the face of Yăhwēh. The holy of the holiest it is. 26The priest making it to be a sin offering will eat it. In a holy place it will be eaten, in the court of the tent of appointment. 27Everything which may touch on its flesh will be made to be holy. And whoever will be made spattered from the blood of it upon a garment, then what was made spattered by it you will make to be washed in a holy place. 28And a container of earthenware which it was boiled in, will be made to be smashed. And if in a container of bronze it had been made to be boiled, then it will have been made to be polished, and it will have been made to be overflowed in the water. 29Every male among the priests shall eat it. The holy of the holiest it is. 30And any sin offering, which is made to come from the blood of it, unto the tent of appointment, to make to be a wiping away in the holy place, will not be eaten. In fire it will be burned.
And this is the law of the guilt offering. The holy of the holiest it is. 7:2In the place which they will slaughter the ascending offering, they shall slaughter the guilt offering. And the blood of it will be tossed upon the altar round about. 3And all the fat of it, one shall make come near, from it, the fat tail, and the fat making to be covered the innard. 4And the two kidneys, and the fat which is upon them, which is upon the loins, and the lobe upon the liver over the kidneys, one shall make it turn aside. 5And the priest will have made them smoke at the altar, a fire offering to Yăhwēh. It is a guilt offering. 6Every male among the priests shall eat it. In a holy place it will be eaten. The holy of the holiest it is.
7As the sin offering, so for the guilt offering is one law for them. The priest which makes to be a wiping away with it, to him it will be. 8And the priest that is making come near the ascending offering of a man, the skin of the ascending offering which he has made come near, to him it will be.
9And every tribute offering which is baked in the oven, and every one having been made in a stew pan, and upon a griddle is for the priest making it come near. To him it will be.
10And every tribute offering being mixed with oil, and dry one is for all the sons of A̓harōn, each man as his brother.
11And this is the law of sacrifice of the well being offerings which one may make come near to Yăhwēh. 12If for a thanksgiving offering he will make it come near, then he will have made come near for a sacrifice of thanksgiving, unleavened cakes being mingled with oil, and wafers of unleavened bread being anointed with oil, and fine flour being made mixed, a cake being mingled with oil. 13Besides the cakes, leavened bread he shall make come near an offering of his, besides the sacrifice of thanksgiving for his well being. 14And he will have made come near from him one from every offering, a contribution to Yăhwēh for the priest with the blood of the well being sacrifice. For him it will be. 15And the flesh of the sacrifice of the thanksgiving for his well being, on the same day of his offering will be eaten. He may not let remain from it until daybreak.
16And if a vow or voluntary sacrifice is his offering, then on the day of his making come near his sacrifice, it will be eaten and in the tomorrow, and the remainder from it will be eaten. 17And the remainder from the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day in fire shall be burned.
18And if being eaten, it may be eaten, from the flesh of the sacrifice of his well being offerings on the third day, then will not be accepted the one making it come near. It will not be reckoned to him. Refuse it will be, and the soul, the one eating from it, his iniquity he will bear.
Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Moshēh, after the death of the two sons of A̓harōn, (in their drawing near to the face of Yăhwēh; then they died.)
16:2Then Yăhwēh said unto Moshēh, “Speak unto A̓harōn your brother, and he will not come at every time unto the holiness, the house beyond the veil unto the face the kappōret which is upon the ark, and he will not die, because in a cloud I am seen over the kappōret.”
3“With this A̓harōn shall come into the holiness, with a bull, a son of the cattle, for a sin offering, and a ram for an ascending offering.”
4“A holy coat of linen he shall wear and pants of linen will be upon his flesh, and with a sash of linen he will gird himself, and with a turban of linen he shall wind himself. They are garments of holiness. And he will have washed in water his flesh, and he will have put them on.”
5“And from the congregation of the sons of Yisra’ēl he will have taken two billies of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for an ascending offering.”
6“And A̓harōn will have made come near the bull of the sin offering which is for him, and he will have made to be a wiping on behalf of himself and on behalf of his house.”
7“And he shall have taken the two billies, and he will have made them stand at the face of Yăhwēh at the door of the tent of appointment. 8And A̓harōn shall have put lots upon the two billies, one lot for Yăhwēh, and one lot for the goat going away. 9And A̓harōn will have made come near the billy which the lot had come up upon for Yăhwēh, and he will have made him a sin-offering.”
10“And the billy, which the lot came up on for the goat of going away, shall be made to stand alive at the face of Yăhwēh, to make to be a wiping away by it, to send it as the goat departing into the wilderness.”
11“And A̓harōn shall make draw near the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and he will have made to be a wiping away on behalf of himself, and on behalf of his house. And he will have slaughtered the bull of the sin offering which is for himself.”
12“And he will have taken full a firepan, with coals of fire from upon the altar, from before the face of Yăhwēh, and full his hands with fine fragranted incense, and he will have made it enter the house beyond the veil. 13And he will have put the incense upon the fire, at the face of Yăhwēh, and the cloud of the incense will have made to be covered the kappōret which is over the testimony, and he will not die.”
14“And he will have taken from the blood of the bull, and he will have made it sprinkled with his finger upon the face of the kappōret eastward. And at the face of the kappōret he will make a sprinkling seven times from the blood with his finger.”
15“And he will have slaughtered the billy of the sin offering, which is for the people, and he will have made come its blood unto house beyond the curtain and he will have done with its blood as that he had done to the blood of the bull, and he will have made it sprinkled upon the kappōret, and at the face of the kappōret.”
16“And he will have made to be a wiping away upon the holy place, from the uncleannesses of the sons of Yisra’ēl, and from their transgressions, for all their sins. And thus he will do for the tent of appointment, dwelling with them, in the midst of their uncleannesses.”
17“And any man shall not be in the tent of appointment, in his entering to make to be a wiping away in the holy place until his going out. And he will have made be a wiping away on behalf of himself, and on behalf of his house, and on behalf of all the congregation of Yisra’ēl.”
18“And he shall have gone out unto the altar which is at the face of Yăhwēh, and he will have made to be a wiping away upon it, and he will have taken from the blood of the bull, and from the blood of the billy, and he will have put it upon the horns of the altar round about. 19And he will have made a sprinkling from the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and he will have made it to be cleansed, and he will have made it to be holy from the uncleannesses of the sons of Yisra’ēl.”
20“And he will have made to be finished, making to be wiped, the holy place, and the tent of appointment, and the altar.”
20b“And he will have made draw near the living billy. 21And A̓harōn will have lain his two hands upon the head of the living billy. And he himself will have confessed over it all the iniquities of the sons of Yisra’ēl, and all their transgressions, concerning° all their sins. And he will have put them upon the head of the billy, and he will have sent it by the hand of a ready man towardª the wilderness. 22And the goat will have carried upon it all their iniquities unto a solitary land. And he will have made to be sent the billy in the wilderness.”
23“And A̓harōn will have come into the tent of appointment, and he shall have stripped off the garments of linen, which he had dressed in, in his coming into the holiness, and he will have rested them there. 24And he will have bathed his flesh in water in a holy place, and he will have dressed in his garments. And he will have gone out, and he will have done his ascending offering and the ascending offering of the people.
24bAnd he will have made to be wiping on behalf of himself and on behalf of the people.”
25“And the fat of the sin offering he shall he make smoke at the altar. 26And the one making to be sent the billy as the goat going away will make to be washed his garments, and he will have bathed his flesh in water. And after such, he shall come into the camp.”
27“And the bull of the sin offering, and the billy of the sin offering, whose blood was made to come in to make to be a wiping away in the holy place, he shall make go out unto the outside of the camp. And they will have burned in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung. 28And the one burning them shall make be washed his clothes, and he will have bathed his flesh in water, and after such, he shall come into the camp.”
29“And it will have been for you as a statute forever in the seventh month. On the tenth of the month you shall make be afflicted your souls. And any work you may not do, the native, and the sojourner sojourning in the midst of you.”
30“Because on this day He will make to be a wiping upon you, to make you to be clean. From all your sins before the face of Yăhwēh you shall be clean.”
31“A Rest of complete rest it is for you, and you will have made be afflicted your souls, a statute for ever.
32And the priest will make to be a wiping away, whom he will anoint, and who will fill his hand to be priest under his father. And he will have dressed in the garments of linen, holy garments.”
33“And he will have made to be wiped the holy sanctuary, and the tent of appointment. And the altar, he will have made to be wiped. And on account of the priests, and on account of all the people of the congregation, he shall make to be wiping.”
34“And this will have been to you as a statute forever, to make to be wiping away on account of the sons of Yisra’ēl, because of all their sins once in the year.”
34bThen he did as that Yăhwēh had made be commanded Moshēh.
17You may not hate your brother in your heart. Reproving you shall reprove your fellow, and you may not carry sin for him.
18You shall not take revenge. And you shall not nurse anger for the sons of your people. And you will have loved your neighbor as yourself. I am Yăhwēh.
Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Mōshēh, saying, 23:2“Speak unto the sons of Yisra’ēl, and you will have said unto them, ‘The appointed times of Yăhwēh, which you shall proclaim them, these are holy convocations. They are my appointed times.’
3‘Six days you may do work, and on the seventh day is a Shabbat-rest of complete Shabbat-rest, a holy convocation. You may not do any work. It is a Shabbat-rest for Yăhwēh in all your dwellings.’
4‘These are the appointed times of Yăhwēh, holy convocations, which you shall proclaim them, at their appointed time.’
5‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month between the settings, is the Passover for Yăhwēh. 6And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast of unleavened bread for Yăhwēh. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. 7In the first day a holy convocation shall be for you. You shall not do any work of labor. 8But you will have made come near a fire offering to Yăhwēh seven days. In the seventh day is a holy convocation. You may not do any work of labor.’”
9Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Moshēh, saying, 10“Speak unto the sons of Yisra’ēl, and you will have said unto them, ‘When you will come unto the land which I am giving to you, and you will have reaped the harvest of it, then you will have made come the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest. 11And he will have made waved the sheaf before the face of Yăhwēh, to render you acceptable. In the day after the Shabbat-rest the priest shall make it waved.”
12“And you will have made, on the day of your making waved the sheaf, a perfect male lamb, a son of its year, to ascend to Yăhwēh. 13And the meal offering of it shall be two tenth parts of an ē̓phah of fine flour, being mixed with oil, a fire offering to Yăhwēh for a scent of soothingness; and the drink offering of it shall be of wine, the fourth part of the hi̱n.”
14“And you shall not eat bread, and roasted grain, and fresh produce, until this same day, until your making come the offering of your Almĭghty: it is a statute for ever by your generations in all your dwellings.”
15“And you will have counted to yourselves in the time after the Shabbat-rest, from the day of your making come the sheaf of the wave offering, there will be seven weekly Shabbat-rests, 16until in the time after the seventh Shabbat-rest you number a fiftieth day.”
16b“And you will have made come near a new meal offering to Yăhwēh. 17From your dwellings you shall bring two waving loaves, two tenth parts of an ēphah. They shall be fine flour. They shall be baked leavened, to be first fruits to Yăhwēh.”
18“And you will have made come near with the loaves seven male lambs, perfect ones, the son of a year, and one bull, the son of the herd, and two rams. They shall be an ascending offering to Yăhwēh, and their meal offering, and their drink offerings, as a fire offering, a scent of soothingness to Yăhwēh.”
19“And you will have made one billy of the goats into a sin offering, and two male lambs, the son of a year, into a sacrifice of peace offerings. 20And the priest shall have waved them with the loaves of the first fruits, a wave offering before the face of Yăhwēh, with the two male lambs. Holy, they shall be to Yăhwēh for the priest.”
21“And you shall have proclaimed on this same day a holy convocation. It will be for yourselves. Any work of labor, you will not do. It is an everlasting statute in all your dwellings for your generations.”
22“And in your harvesting the harvest of your land, you shall not make be finished the edges of your field. In your harvesting and gathering of your harvest, you will not make be gathered them. For the poor, and for the sojourner you will leave them. I am Yăhwēh your Almĭghty.”
23Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Moshēh, saying, 24“Speak unto the sons of Yisra’ēl, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, there shall be for you a great Shabbat a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.’”
25“Any work of labor you shall not do. And you will have made come near a fire offering to Yăhwēh.”
26Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Moshēh, saying, 27“Surely on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of kippūri̱m. It shall be a holy convocation for to you. And you will have made be afflicted your souls. And you will have made come near a fire offering to Yăhwēh.”
28“And any work you shall not do on this same day, because a day of making be wiped away it is, to make be a wiping away concerning you before the face of Yăhwēh your Almĭghty.”
29“When there is any soul, which will not be afflicted on this same day, then it shall have been cut off from its people.”
30“And if there is any soul who does any work on that same day, then I will have destroyed that soul from the midst of its people. 31Any work you shall not do. It is an everlasting statute for your generations in all your dwellings.”
32“A Shabbat of complete Shabbat it will be for you, and you will have afflicted your souls in the ninth day of the month at the setting. From setting until setting you are Sabbathing your Shabbat.”
33Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Moshēh, saying, 34“Speak unto the sons of Yisra’ēl, saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of tabernacles, a seven of days to Yăhwēh.’”
35On the first day shall be a holy convocation. Any work of labor you will not do. 36A seven of days you shall make come near a fire offering to Yăhwēh. On the eighth day a holy convocation will be for you. And you will have made come near a fire offering to Yăhwēh. It is a closing assembly. Any work of labor you will not do.
37These are the appointed times of Yăhwēh, which you shall proclaim them to be, holy convocations, to make come near the fire offerings to Yăhwēh: the ascending offering and meal offering sacrifice, the word commanded day by day of it, 38besides the Rests of Yăhwēh, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill-offerings, which you will give to Yăhwēh.
39Surely on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, in your gathering in the comings of the land, you shall feast the feast of Yăhwēh, a seven of days. On the first day shall be a great Shabbat, and on the eighth day shall be a great Shabbat.
40And you will have taken for yourselves, on the first day, the fruit of the majestic tree, palms of palm-trees and the bough of the leafy tree, and willows of the brook; and you will have rejoiced before the face of Yăhwēh your Almĭghty a seven of days. 41And you will have feasted it, a feast unto Yăhwēh, a seven of days in the year, an everlasting statute for your generations. In the seventh month you shall feast it. 42In booths you shall dwell a seven of days. All the native men in Yisra’ēl will dwell in booths 43so that your generations may know that in booths I had made the sons of Yisra’ēl dwell, in my making them go out from the land of Egypt. I am Yăhwēh your Almĭghty.
44Then Moshēh declared the appointed times of Yăhwēh unto the sons of Yisra’ēl.
Then Yăhwēh spoke unto Mōshēh on mount Si̱nai̱ saying, “Speak unto the sons of Yisra’ēl, and you will have said unto them, ‘When you will enter unto the land which I am giving to you, then the land will have been resting a rest to Yăhwēh.’”
25:3Six years you may sow you field, and six years you may prune your vineyard, and you will have gathered the comings of it.
4And in the seventh year a Shabbat of great Shabbat-rest will be for the land, a Shabbat to Yăhwēh. Your field you may not sow, and your vineyard you may not prune. 5The aftergrowth of your harvest you may not reap, and the grapes of your devotion you will not cut off. A Shabbat of great Shabbat-rest it will be for the land.
6And it will have been the Shabbat of the land for you, for food for you, and for your manservant, and for your maidservant, and for your hireling, and your sojourner that is sojourning with you, 7and for your cattle, and for the living things which are in your land. All the comings of it will be to eat.
8And you will have counted for yourself, seven Shabbat-rests. The years are seven years seven times. And they will have been for you as the days of seven Shabbat-rests. The years are nine and forty years.
9And you will have made a trumpet of blasting pass through, in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month. On the day of kippūri̱m, you will make a trumpet pass through in all your land. 10And you will have made to be holy the year of the fiftieth year. And you will have proclaimed liberty in the land, to all the dwellers of it. A jubilee it will be for you. And you will have returned each man unto his possession, and each man unto his family you will return. 11A jubilee it is. The year of the fiftieth year it will be for you. You may not sow, and you may not reap the aftergrowth, and you may not cut off the devoted things of it, 12because a jubilee it is. Holy it will be for you. From the field you may eat the comings of it. 13In such a year of the jubilee, you will return, each man unto his possession.
14And when you will sell a sale to your neighbor, or are buying from the hand of your neighbor, you may not make oppressed each man his brother. 15By the number of years after the jubilee you should buy from your neighbor. By the number of the years of comings he should sell to you. 16At the mouth of many of the years, you will make great his price, and at the mouth of few of the years, you shall make small his price, because the number of comings he is selling to you.
17And you may not make oppressed each man his neighbor. And you will have feared, because I am Yăhwēh your Almĭghty. 18And you will have done the statutes of mine, and the judgements of mine. And you will watch, and you will have done them. And you will have dwelt upon the land securely. 19And the land will have given its fruit, and you will have eaten to satisfaction, and you will have dwelt securely upon it.
20And when you will say, “What will we eat in the seventh year? Behold, we may not sow, and we may not gather our comings!” 21Then I will have made be commanded my blessing for you in the sixth year, and it will have made the comings for three of the years. 22And you will have sown the eighth year. And you will have eaten from the old comings until the ninth year. Until coming the comings of it, you will eat the old.
23And the land will not be sold in perpetuity, because to me belongs the land, because strangers and sojourners you are with Me. 24And in all the land of your possession, a redemption you will grant for the land.
25When is poor your brother, and he has sold out his possession, then the nearest one redeeming him will have come unto him. And he will have redeemed the sale of his brother. 26And a man, when there will not be for him a redeemer, and his hand has made a reach, and he has found according to the sufficiency of his redemption, 27then he will have made to be reckoned the years of his sale, and he will have made return the excess to the man which had sold to him, and he will have returned to his possession. 28And if his hand has not found sufficiency of making return to him, then it will have been his sale in the hand of the one buying it until the year of the jubilee. And it will go forth in the jubilee. And he will have returned to his possession.
29And a man, when he will sell a house of dwelling, of a walled city, then it will have been his redemption right until a perfect year of his sale, of days. It will be his redemption right. 30And if it will not be redeemed past fulfilling for him a perfect year, then will have stood the house which is in the city, which has for it a wall, in perpetuity to the one buying it for his generations. It will not go forth in the jubilee. 31And houses of the villages which is not for them a wall round about, with the field of the land will be reckoned. A redemption will be for it, and in the jubilee it will go forth.
32And the cities of the Leυi̱yim are the houses of the cities of their possession. A redemption of time without end will be for the Leυi̱yim. 33And whatever will be redeemed by the Leυi̱yim, then it will have gone forth to them, the sale of a house, or the city of his possession, in the jubilee, because the houses of the cities of the Leυi̱yim—it is their possession in the midst of the sons of Yisra’ēl.
34And a field of range-land of their cities may not be sold, because a possession of time immemorial it is for them.
35And when may become poor your brother, and his hand has slipped with you, then you will have given strength to him as a stranger and sojourner. And he will have lived with you. 36You may not take interest from him and increase. And you will have feared because of your Almĭghty. And your brother will have lived with you. 37Your silver you may not give to him on interest, and for profit you may not give him your food.
38I am Yăhwēh your Almĭghty, in that I have made you go out from the land of Egypt, to give to you the land of Kena‘an, to be for you as Almĭghty.
39And when may become poor your brother with you, and he will have sold himself to you, you may not make to be work on him, the work of a slave. 40As the hired one, as the sojourner he will be with you. Until the year of jubilee he will work with you. 41And he will have gone out from with you, he and his sons with him. And he will have returned unto his family. And unto the possession of his fathers he may return, 42because my servants they are, in that I have made them go out from the land of Egypt. They may not be sold in a sale of slaves. 43You may not rule over him in harshness. And you will have feared because of your Almĭghty.
44And your manservant and your maidservant, which will belong to you, from the nations which are around you from them you may buy a manservant and a maidservant. 45And also, from the sons of the sojourner of the nations with you, from them you may buy, and from their families, which are with you, who have made begotten in your land, and they will have been for you as a posssession. 46And you will have made to be possesed yourselves of them for your sons after you to inherit, a possession to time immemorial. Among them you may make to be slaves. And among your brothers, the sons of Yisra’ēl, a man over his brother, you may not rule over him in harshness.
47And when the hand of a stranger and foreign sojourner may attain wealth with you, and will have become poor your brother with you, and he will have sold himself to the stranger, a sojourner with you, or an offshoot of the family of the stranger, then 48after he has sold himself, a redemption right will be to him. One from his brothers may redeem him. 49Or his uncle or the son of his uncle may redeem him. Or one from the flesh of his flesh, from his family-clan, may redeem him, or he has made reached his hand, then he will have redeemed himself. 50And he will have made to be reckoned with his buyer from the year of his being sold to him, until the year of the jubilee. And it will have been the silver of his sale by the number of years. According to the days of a hired man it will be with him. If there are still many in the years at the mouth of them, he will make returned for his redemption from the silver of his sale. 52And if few have been remaining in the years, until the year of the jubilee, then he will have made to be an accounting for him. According to the mouth of his years, he will make returned for his redemption. 53As a hired man, year by year, he will be with him. He may not rule him with harshness before your eyes. 54And if he should not be redeemed by these means, then he will have gone forth in the year of the jubilee, he and his sons with him, 55because for Me the sons of Yisra’ēl are servants. My servants they are, in that I have made them go out from the land of Egypt.
55bI am Yăhwēh your Almĭghty.
You shall not make for yourselves worthless gods. And an image and a pillar, you shall not make stand up for yourselves. And a stone imagination you may not put in your land to cause yourselves to bow down for it, because I am Yăhwēh your Almĭghty.
My Shabbats you shall observe, and my holy place you shall honor. I am Yăhwēh.
26:3If in my statutes you will walk, and my commandments you will keep, and you will have done them, 4then I will have given your rain showers in their time, and the land will have given its produce, and the tree of the field will give its fruit. And threshing will have made reached for you the vintage, and the vintage will make reached the sowing, and you will have eaten of your bread to satisfaction, and you will have dwelled securely in your land.
6I will have granted peace in the land, and you will have lain down, and no one will be causing terror. And I will have made cease evil animals from the land, and the sword shall not pass through in your land. 7And you will have pursued your enemies. And they will have fallen before your faces by the sword. 8And they will have pursued from you five, a hundred. And a hundred from you, ten thousand will pursue. And your enemies will have fallen at your faces by the sword.
9And I will have turned unto you, and I will have made you fruitful, and I will have multiplied you, and I will have made stand My covenant with you. 10And you will have eaten the old being old, and the old from before the face of the new you will make go out. 11And I will have put my dwelling in the midst of you, and my soul will not abhor you. 12And I will have made myself to be walking in your midst, and I will have been for you as Almĭghty, and you will be for Me as a people.
13I am Yăhwēh your Almĭghty, in that I have made you go out from the land of Egypt, from being for them slaves. Then I broke the bars of your yoke. Then I made you walk being stood up.
14And if you should not listen to me, and you should not do all these commandments, and if against my statutes you may reject, and if my judgments your soul should loathe to not do all my commandments, to make broken by you my covenant, 16yea, I, I will do this to you. And I will have made attend upon you a panic, with the epidemic, and with the fever, making to be finished the eyes, and making fade away the soul. And you will have sown for nothing your seed, and your enemies will have eaten it.
17I will have put my face against you, and you will have been struck down at the face of your enemies. And they will have pursued against you, your haters, and you will have fled, and none is pursuing you.
18And if up to these things you will not listen to me, then I will have added to make to be corrected you, seven times for your sins. 19And I will have broken the majesty of your might, and I will have given your heavens to be like iron, and your land to be like bronze. 20And your power will have been spent for nothing, and your land will not give its produce, and the tree of the land will not give its fruit.
21And if you should walk contrary with me, and you will not be willing to listen to me, then I will have added upon you a blow seven times, according to your sins. 22And I will have made sent on you the animal of the field, and it will have made to be bereaved you, and it will have made cut off your cattle, and it will have made you few, and your roads will have been ravaged.
23And if by these things you will not be corrected to me, and you have walked contrary with me, 24then I will have walked, yea I, in contrariness with you. And I will have made smitten you, even I, seven times for your sins. 25And I will have made come upon you the sword, avenging the vengeance of the covenant, and you will have been gathered unto your cities, and I will have made to be sent a plague in the midst of you, and you will have been given into the hand of an enemy.
26In my breaking for you the staff of bread, then ten women will have baked your bread in one oven. And they will have made return your bread by weight, and you will have eaten, and you will not be satisfied.
27And if in this you will not listen to me, and you will have walked contrary with me, 28then I will have walked with you in a hostile burning anger. And I will have made to be corrected you, yea I, seven times for your sins. 29And you will have eaten the flesh of your sons. And the flesh of your daughters you shall eat.
30And I will have made exterminated your high places. And I will have made cut down the sun pillars. And I will have put your corpses upon the corpses of your logs And my soul will have abhorred you. 31And I will have given your cities unto ruin, and I will have made desolate your sanctuaries. And I will not make a sniff at your soothing aromas. 32And I will have made desolate, I, the land. And your enemies will have been made to be desolate for it, the ones dwelling in it.
33And you I will make to be scattered in the nations. And I will have made drawn after you a sword. And your land will have become a desolation. And your cities will be a ruin.
34At that time, the land shall accept its Shabbat-rests all the days of its being made desolate, and you will be in the land of your enemies. At that time, the land will Sabbath, and it will have made acceptable its Shabbat-rests. 35All the days of its being made desolate, it will Sabbath that which it had not rested in your Shabbat-rests in your dwelling upon it.
36And those being left among them, then I will have made come despondency into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. And the sound of a leaf being driven will have chased them away. And they will have fled a flight of the sword. And they will have fallen, and none will be pursuing. 37And they will have stumbled, each man over his brother, like from the face of the sword, and none are pursuing. And there will be for them no standing before the face of their enemies. 38And you will have perished among the nations. And the land of your enemies will have eaten you. 39And those being left among you will be rotted in their iniquity, in the land of your enemies, and yea in the inquities of their fathers with them they will be rotted.
40And they will have themselves made to be confessed their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers in their betrayal which they have betrayed against me. And yea, which they have walked with me in contrariness. 41Yea, I, I will walk with them in contrariness. And I will have made them come into the land of their enemies.
41bOr, at that time, will be humbled their uncircumcised heart, and at that time they will accept the punishment for their inquity, 42then I will have remembered my covenant of Ya‘aqōv̱, and yea my covenant of Yitsḥaq, and yea my covenant of A̓v̱raham. I will remember. And the land I will remember.
43And the land will be forsaken from them, and it will accept its Shabbat-rests, in its being made desolate from them, and they will accept the punishment of their iniquity, because and again because, against my judgments they had refused, and my statutes their soul had loathed.
44And yea, also this: in their being in the land of their enemies, I will not have rejected them, and I will not have abhorred them to make to be finished them to make broken my covenant with them, because I am Yăhwēh their Almĭghty.
45And I will have remembered for them the covenant of the first ones, in that I have made them go out from the land of Egypt before the eyes of the nations to become for them as Almĭghty, I am Yăhwēh.
46These are the statutes, and the judgments, and the laws which Yăhwēh had given between himself and between the sons of Yisra’ēl on mount Si̱nai̱ by the hand of Mōshēh.
