This Greek word has the meaning, "later, latter".   The ultimate proof of this is explained in Greek (in the photo at the bottom of this page), which is inconvenient for anyone who does not know Greek .   The underlined in red ink portion translates as follows, with hyperlinks:

 
            "The gen[itive] with and after a little have become associated in meaning with later of these, former of these ..."
 

            Click on the link for "later of these" and you will see the how the Greek word in the photo below is to be translated.   What this means is that with the genitive means, "later" in the sense of 'former' and 'later';   Therefore, Matthew 28:1 is "Later of the Sabbaths" and refers to the second Sabbath in Passover Week, i.e. the Sabbath after the festival Sabbath on Thursday.
