Yayshua is Hebrew for Jesus (sometimes spelled Yeshua, Yahshua, Y'shua, Yehoshua, Yaohushua, or Yahushua). Yayshua is the way the standard Hebrew is pronounced. Yayshua is the first and the last (Rev. 1:17). He said, "If you do not faithfully trust that I am He, you will die in your sins" (John 7:24; Isaiah 41:4). For this reason, we emphasize the full deity of Yeshua. You can find our doctrinal statements at our site, which also outline other important truths.
( Jeshua, later form for Joshua)" (A Greek Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature, Bauer, Arndt and Gingrich, pg. 373). Actually, the name of Yayshua is symbolized by in the original Greek, not by the form . Scholars call the form in the MSS the nomina sacra. The Sheliakhim ordained that wherever a divine name or title was used, it should be symbolized with a line superscripted, and that the faithful would be taught to pronounce the nomina sacra according to their proper Hebrew.
